Global Colliance · Ms. Mary
Career & Portfolio Mentorship Program
A structured, long-horizon development program for Grade 8–12 students who are serious about targeting the world’s top universities — built around Ms. Mary’s proprietary Global Readiness Index and a 6-quarter transformation framework across 8 critical dimensions.
Why This Program Exists
The students who get into top universities started 4 years earlier.
Getting into a top-20 global university — Ivy League, Oxbridge, NUS, ETH Zurich — is not a 3-month sprint before applications open. It is the result of years of deliberate, strategic profile-building across multiple dimensions that admissions officers evaluate holistically. Ms. Mary built this program because she saw what separated accepted students from rejected ones — and it almost never came down to grades alone.
The Problem - Most students arrive at Grade 12 with a profile, not a story
The Solution - A measured, structured, 6-quarter transformation with Ms. Mary
“The best time to begin building an Ivy-worthy profile is Grade 9. The second-best time is today — regardless of which grade your child is in.”
— Ms. Mary
The Framework
8 Dimensions of Global Readiness
Every top global university evaluates applicants across multiple dimensions — not just grades. This program develops each one systematically, ensuring your child arrives at application time with a complete, compelling, multi-dimensional profile.

Ms. Mary's Proprietary Tool
The Global Readiness Index (GRI)
The Global Readiness Index is Ms. Mary’s proprietary scoring system — the compass that guides every student’s journey through this program. It measures your child’s preparedness across all 8 dimensions, providing a clear numeric score at every stage of the program.
The GRI eliminates guesswork. Instead of wondering “is my child on track?”, you have a precise, quarterly measurement — and a clear strategy for what to improve next.

Quarterly Task Plans
Quarterly Re-Assessment
Personalised Reports
“The GRI does not tell you what you want to hear. It tells you what you need to know — and gives you a precise plan for what to do about it.”
How Progress is Tracked
Measurable Growth Across Every Dimension, Every Quarter
At the end of each quarter, you receive a personalised GRI Progress Report. Not a vague feedback letter — a precise, visual analysis of where your child stands, how far they have come, and exactly what the next quarter needs to focus on.

What a GRI Report Reveals
The spider diagram opposite shows a sample student profile at the end of Quarter 2. The student is strong in Academic Scholarship and Writing, but has clear gaps in Research & Innovation and Impact Potential. The next quarter’s plan is built entirely around closing those two specific gaps — not a generic programme.
This is what separates the GRI from any generic counselling approach: every recommendation is evidence-based, specific, and directly tied to what admissions officers at your target universities are evaluating.
“For the first time, we could actually see — in a single chart — exactly where our daughter stood and what she needed to do next. The GRI removed all the anxiety and replaced it with a clear plan.”
The 6-Quarter Journey
From Where You Are To Where You Need to Be
The program is structured across 6 quarters — each with a clear theme, specific activities across all 8 dimensions, and tangible deliverables. Every quarter builds on the last. By Quarter 6, your child arrives at application season with a complete, compelling, multi-dimensional profile.

How the Engagement Works
A Quarter-by-Quarter Commitment
The Career & Portfolio Mentorship Program is structured as a quarter-by-quarter engagement. There is no single lump-sum commitment required at enrolment — each quarter builds on the last, with its own theme, activities, and measured outcomes.
| Quarter | Theme | Activities Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Quarter 1 | Foundational — Discovering Direction | Academic plan, passion identification, writing basics, micro leadership, research exploration, niche discovery, subject interest mapping |
| Quarter 2 | Exploring Depth — Building Momentum | Advanced coursework, project investment, writing workshops, debate, team leadership, research question development, core ECA selection |
| Quarter 3 | Setting Standards — Claiming Space | Advanced grades, impact expansion, narrative writing, independent perspective, formal leadership, structured research, competition participation |
| Quarter 4 | Making Impact — Going Deeper | APs / dual enrollment, community-scale initiatives, essay mastery, cross-disciplinary thinking, project launches, experimentation, peer coaching |
| Quarter 5 | Showcasing Potential — Rising Higher | Academic leadership, high-impact events, competition submissions, publication, team guidance, research showcasing, awards pursuit |
| Quarter 6 | Reflecting Excellence — Application Ready | Final essays, interview preparation, legacy project curation, research portfolio curation, extracurricular showcase, major declaration alignment |
Each quarter is committed to one at a time — no advance commitment for the full program is required. Students may exit after any quarter, though the transformation is cumulative and most effective when completed in full. To understand the engagement details for your child’s grade and starting point, the first step is a Portfolio Assessment Session with Ms. Mary.
Note: Students who complete the Career & Portfolio Mentorship Program and subsequently enrol in the Global Future Program™ receive a dedicated transition credit. Ask Ms. Mary for details.
